Hayaa - Modesty

"Faith has seventy odd branches. The greatest of them is saying Laa ilaha ilAllah, and the least of them is removing something harmful from the road. Modesty/Hayaa is one of the branches of faith." -Bukhari and Muslim
Modesty in Islam is one of the principles of faith. It is freedom from vanity and showing off. It is decency and moderation in speech, manner, dress and attitudes and behaviour towards life. Modesty is shyness and humility this quality is not only for the females but for the males also. The true muslim is polite, modest, gentle and sensitive to feelings of others, they never say anything to harm or offend other people. The believers attitude of hayaa is deeply rooted in the nature supported by understanding its islamic concept.
"Hayaa brings nothing but goodness" - Bukhari
Every religion has a character and the character of Islam is modesty. Modesty prevents one from indulging into indecency and obscenity. If we lack modesty desires will take complete control of us and we will not hesitate to indulge in any type of sin. "If you do not have modesty then do as you please" - Bukhari
The muslim woman is beautified by her modesty in dress, manners
and guarded against indecent looks and behaviour by how she is dressed. Modesty is dignity, grace and adornment of a believer given by Allah. All the Prophets encouraged modesty.
Modesty can be the means by which ethics and morals are maintained and upholded in society. Modesty can be shyness from people and society but the key to modesty is knowing that Allah is aware of what you do, so one must refrain from acts which Allah forbids. Islam considers that modesty of a believer in front of Allah should be greater than infront of humans. The muslim is careful that their faith be affected by this one branch of faith - modesty.
May Allah give us all the ability to be humble, modest and polite, may He help us refrain from sin and make our faith strong. Ameen.

Test of this life

We all know that life here is short and meaningful. We are all aware that today we are alive and it is possible that tomorrow we may not be here.
Do you not think that our creation is more than just chance, that it is more than just coincidence? Allah has created us so that we fulfil our purpose here, to worship Him,
Our life here is temporary and it is the hereafter which shall be our final, eternal abode In'Shaa'Allah. We must live in this world as travellers journeying upon a road. The road of 'Life'.
We must refrain from keeping the love of this world in our hearts, for this shall reduce our love for Allah and may easily lead us astray.
In a hadith The Beloved Prophet (Saw) says;
'The world is a prison for the believers and a paradise for the disbelievers'.
So Dear Muslims and Muslimahs make this world not your paradise for our paradise is soon to come. InShaaAllah.We must be patient in this life, for it is all a test; these times of calamities, hardships and trouble are only temporary. We must turn to Allah, worship and obey only Him and gather our good deeds. InShaaAllah Allah promise for the believers who do good gardens of paradise.
I pray that Allah guides us to the straight path, and helps us do good and gain success in this world and the hereafter. InShaaAllah I pray we are all granted Jannatul Firdous. Ameen.
I hope you enjoy the nasheed 'How can deny the Oneness of Allah' shared below.
