The Great Treasure; Good Character

Good conduct and character are most valuable and precious in human society. They are like the treasures of society. Good manners and character are also demanded in Islam. Those with a good character are honoured by all. The Prophet (S) has said; 'There is none heavier in the scales of the hereafter than good character.' [Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood].
The best character can be seen in the Prophet (S). His character is such which cannot be compared to the character of anyone today. His kind heartedness, gentleness and loving personality is one of a kind. His character shows us how we should live and act as true followers of Islam. Allah mentions in the Quran; `Verily in the messenger of Allah you have a beautiful example` [33:21]
The Prophet (S) he aways smiled and would laugh with people. He would joke but he would not lie.
He made people feel the doors of mercy are open for them. He was always concerned about Us; his Ummah. The Prophet (S) would remain silent if he did not have anything good to say. He was soft and gentle and not harsh. He taught us to love for our brothers what we love for ourselves. The messenger of Allah was not rough ever, he always elevated the blessing and never found a fault in anything at all even in food. He would never complain or act stubborn.
The Prophet (S) said that; 'A good act is good character.' [Muslim] Anything good is part of good character and shall InShaaAllah be rewarded for.
Never when he became upset did he become angry. If someone wronged him then he did not take revenge nor did he wish bad for them, rather he would pray for them.
He would say SubhanAllah always. He would never point with his fingers or speak ill of others. The messenger (S) rarely laughed out loud but he would always smile.
He would never enter any place without permission and he would never take the right of anyone else. The Prophet (S) would always ask about people and pray for the Ummah. He would ask about the sahabah and all people, the same way he asked about the lady who used to throw rubbish on his path.
He taught us that to be great human beings we must have the best character. He told us that those who help others Allah will make their feet firm on the day of judgement. When speaking to someone he would face them fully out of respect and humbleness. He was modest and humble. He would spend nights in prayer thanking Allah aways.
If you met him you would think he loves you the most because of the way he would treat people, with such sensitivity, love and care. Every single companion thought they were loved most by the beloved (S). This way the Prophet (S) kept unity within the companions, each one of them was a special character for him, they were all loved by him.
He taught us to smile and return bad manners with good. We know that Islam is not a simple religion but if we correct our character InShaaAllah then everything else will come hand in hand; our actions, intentions, deeds.
This is how the Prophet (S) teaches us to speak to, love and treat others, our  muslim brothers and sisters, non-muslims, family, friends, everyone.
InShaaAllah May Allah give us the ability to perfect our character using the example of the beloved messenger Muhammad (S). Ameen.
